Terms of Service
1. The product & provider
Crestly is software for managing school operations: student records, fees, attendance, staff salary, expense vouchers, WhatsApp communication, and related modules. It is licensed per school on a monthly basis.
Crestly is built, operated, and supported by Shadowbiz Startups Developer — a proprietorship firm run by its sole proprietor Satish Mehta. All invoices, agreements, and receipts for Crestly are issued in the name of Shadowbiz Startups Developer.
2. Pricing & billing
Crestly is licensed per school on a monthly basis, with pricing structured feature-by-feature so each school pays only for the modules it actively uses. Plans start from ₹200/month for a single starter module and go up to ₹20,000/month for the complete suite with priority support. The exact per-module rate within this range is shared with each school during signup based on the modules selected. All prices are exclusive of GST. Pricing is locked at signup for 12 months; renewals follow the then-current rate with at least 60 days' notice of any change.
3. Payment schedule
- Monthly — billed on the 1st of every calendar month, payable within 7 days.
- Quarterly (in advance) — 5% discount on the total.
- Annual (in advance) — 15% discount on the total, price locked for 12 months.
- Accepted modes: UPI, NEFT/RTGS, bank transfer, and cheque in favour of Shadowbiz Startups Developer (proprietor: Satish Mehta).
- Late payment beyond 15 days may pause the service until dues are cleared; no data is deleted.
WhatsApp messaging fees charged by Meta, along with SMS and payment-gateway charges where applicable, are billed at actuals and are separate from the monthly module charge.
4. What's always included
- Unlimited students, staff, and parent app logins on every plan.
- Daily backups, server-side updates, and software patches.
- Support via email and WhatsApp during working days (Mon–Sat, 10am–7pm IST).
- Future modules released within the same major version are added to your plan at the agreed module rate.
5. Data ownership
The school owns all data entered into the system. We act as a service provider. On request or termination, we deliver a full SQL + CSV export within 7 working days.
6. Cancellation
Monthly plans can be cancelled at the end of any calendar month with 30 days' written notice; quarterly and annual prepaid plans run to the end of the paid term. No partial-month or partial-term refunds, except where service was materially unavailable.
7. Availability
We target 99% uptime per calendar month, measured on the school's deployed instance. Scheduled maintenance is announced 48 hours in advance and runs outside school hours.
8. Acceptable use
Crestly may not be used for unlawful purposes, to harass any student or parent, or to send marketing messages outside of school-related communication. WhatsApp template content must comply with Meta's policies.
9. Liability
Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees paid by the school for that period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kasauli, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
